  • All airgun sales must be completed by way of face to face sales with proof of I.D required (two forms of ID).
  • It is an offence for anyone under the age of 18 to carry an air gun, or ammunition in a public place even if the gun is covered.
  • It is an offence for anyone between the age of 14 and 18 to shoot an air gun without the supervision of a person over the age of 21.
  • It is an offence for anyone under the age of 14 to own, hire or buy an air gun.
  • It is an offence to shoot an airgun beyond the boundaries of private land, where you have been given permission to shoot.
  • Never carry a air weapon loaded or ammunition with the weapon even if not loaded.
  • Never point a gun at anyone even if you think it is unloaded.
  • Always treat a air weapon as loaded.

  • The minimum age to purchase a realistic imitation firearm (RIF) is 18.
  • To purchase a realistic imitation firearm (RIF) you must have a defence to purchase I.E Airsoft skirmisher, Re-enactor under the violate crime reduction act (VCRA).
  • The minimum age to purchase a imitation firearm is 18 (2 Tone Guns).
  • If you cause distress of affray in a public place with a replica firearm you will be arrested under the VCRA and could be prosecuted under the firearms act.
  • If the police are called to a incident with a replica firearms, they will treat it as a real gun.
  • Never point a replica gun at anyone even if you think it is not loaded.
  • Never use a airsoft gun beyond private land where you have been given permission to shoot.
  • Treat any replica gun as real, as the Police and members of the public will treat it as real.
